Death approaches

Characters who become close to Thanatos may find themselves gifted a keepsake, and if they form a strong bond, Thanatos might make them a Chthonic Companion too. They'll be able to draw upon Thanatos's power.

Offensive subjects (elaborate): Being the God of Death means that death as a topic will likely come up. However, he is also the God of Gentle Death, meaning he doesn't deal with the violent ones. Also while the Supergiant Games versions are generally less terrible, it is still a canon based on Greek mythology.

Flirting with this character: Why are you flirting with Death? Yes, they can try. However, it's going to be going to be hell to get anything mutual (For one, he'll have to recognize his own feelings, and that's a whole other issue.)
Fighting with this character: Yes. Anything involving being bound or shackled needs a heads up beforehand as it'll change how Thanatos reacts
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Yes. Major injury and permanent damage need to be plotted beforehand
Killing this character: Can one kill Death himself? Yes, but it must be plotted beforehand
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Yes. People will sense that he's a God of Death and all the unpleasantness that might bring. He may seem old and young at the same time. As a child of Nyx, there is a lot of Darkness. They'll also sense that he's... not really as scary as he appears to be and yearns a lot for various things (or people).

Warnings: Restraining Thanatos, especially by the wrists, will make him panic due to bad memories of being shackled and then stuffed in a box for a month.

Hades Spoilers & Thanatos Death Sense Permissions:

I want to avoid spoiling anything for those playing the game. I will try to avoid major spoilers in general, and the canon point I take Than from helps. However, I am more than happy to adjust my play for those okay or not okay with any spoilers. Please let me know!

Also, Thanatos has an innate sense of death that takes many forms. If your character has died, is going to die, has some other connection with death, he'll likely be able to sense that. Being able to sense a character's death related things is opt-in on a character by character basis.

IC excuse for not being able to sense anything is that the Three Fates haven't woven anything for your characters, so those ties aren't there for him. He is away from his world after all.
